BANKRUPTCY

This is a scary word. It represents loss, failure and irresponsibility. It's something you've
always avoided. If these are the feelings the word "bankruptcy" stir up in you, then you are - in
fact - a responsible person
. Bad things happen to good, responsible people! If you've reached a
point where you can't make ends meet anymore, bankruptcy is a rational step for you to consider.

There are many myths and misconceptions about bankruptcy. The credit card companies
drove Congress to make the recent reforms to the federal bankruptcy laws to make the process
harder. The companies claimed that many people abused the bankruptcy codes by taking out
lines of credit they never intended on repaying, "maxing" them, filing for bankruptcy and leaving
the card companies "holding the bag". The new changes have made qualifying for bankruptcy
tougher, but not impossible. Filers for Chapter 7 must meet a "means test" and complete credit
counseling (over the phone or by web) before their bankruptcy can be completed. Also, some of
their more recent debts may not be dischargeable.

Gage Law Office, P.A. is familiar with the new bankruptcy law. If bankruptcy is
appropriate for you, we will get you filed and take you through the often confusing court
procedure. We can also help you get reduced interest and acceptable payment terms for any
nondischargeable debt. Our fees are reasonable and payment terms are available.

Remember, the credit cards that got you into this mess offered you "easy" money on
terms that would go on forever. They have made plenty of money already! Now that they have
you running like a hamster on a wheel to pay 14+% interest, why shouldn't you take a step to
make things easier on yourself.
